Austin and Cherilyn's Outdoor Wedding Day

Updated: Feb 8

I loved the joy, and the anticipation that was in the air as I arrived on the morning of July 16th 2022. Both Austin and Cherilyn had waited a long time for this day to arrive in their lives. God works in mysterious ways His wonders to preform! Austin and Cherilyn's love story is both wonderful and mysterious how he brought them together. Not many people can say that they got kidnapped together, and then spent 62 days in captivity getting to know each other!

They were both in Haiti searching for God and for next steps when He miraculously brought them together in a very unique way! Austin was only supposed to be in Haiti for 24hours and would never have met Cherilyn! But God had other plans! Now less than a year after they met they are married!

Saturday was beautiful! The weather beside Lake Michigan in Shelby, is very unpredictable. In fact the natives there have a saying. "If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes!" So it rained Friday and Sunday. But God answered our prayers and it didn't rain once on Saturday! We weren't without our concerns, but when I asked Cherilyn about it, she simply replied that she had asked God for sunny skies on Sat and she is trusting Him to provide!

I started with details at the brides home. Where we did a first look with her Dad, and her Mom surprised her with this gorgeous bouquet!

She also had a special book she wanted to give her Dad to give to Austin at the first look.

Next we went to the First look location to do all the family, and bridal party portraits there.

The first look was so sweet as you could see how special Cherilyn was to Austin! He didn't want to quit reading her precious gift to him!

Family Formal time!

Ok Lets head off to the ceremony!

So I saved the best for last! I love portrait time! It's definitely my favorite time of the whole day! I could take portraits like this in beautiful light for hours!

This ended up being my personal favorite image from the whole day!

Actually, this might be my favorite. Lol!

Also one of the dear Grandparents!

May the Lord bless you, and keep you, make his face to shine upon you, be gracias unto you, and give you peace.
